Is Three down right now?

Three is working for most customers right now, with no sign of a wide fault.

The Three status on this page is built from live reports by customers. When reports climb fast, signal, calls or data are often down in many places at once. A flat line means the network near you is likely fine.

Is Three down for me or everyone?

Reports from many cities at the same time point to a wider Three outage, not a fault on your phone. If reports cluster in one area, a local mast is the likely cause. Check whether calls, texts and data all fail together, since a full outage hits all three.

No signal and failed calls

Losing every signal bar is the fault users report most on Three. Some see a not registered on network message when they try to call. Restart the phone first, since that forces a fresh link to the nearest mast.

Signal swinging from full bars to none often means the local mast is overloaded or under repair. The Network Status Checker on the Three website shows known faults and planned work for your postcode. Heavy use in one area can also slow data to a crawl at busy times.

Slow or missing mobile data

Data can crawl even with good signal when the mast near you is busy. Toggle flight mode on and off to force a fresh data link. Check in the app that you still have allowance left, since an empty allowance stops data in full.

Roaming problems abroad

Roaming fails most often when data roaming is off in your phone settings or a spend cap blocks the daily charge. Turn data roaming on and set network selection to automatic. If one network abroad fails, pick another by hand, then set it back to automatic at home.

Three home broadband drops

Three home broadband uses the same mobile signal, so a weak spot in the house can drop the link again and again. Move the hub near a window and up high, away from other gadgets. A hub dropping at the same time each night may be hit by planned work, so check the app status page.

Common Three Problems and Fixes

Most signal, data and roaming faults clear with a restart and the right settings, but these steps fix the ones that stay.

No signal bars at all

Restart your phone, then check flight mode is off. Take the SIM out, wipe it gently, and put it back in. Test the SIM in a second phone, since a faulty SIM fails the same way on both.

Calls fail or will not connect

Check you have signal, then restart the phone to clear the stuck link. Turn Wi-Fi calling off and try the call again on mobile signal. If every call fails while data works, check the status checker for a voice fault in your area.

Mobile data is very slow

Toggle flight mode on and off to grab a fresh mast link. Move closer to a window, since indoor signal is often far weaker. Check your allowance in the app, since a low allowance makes a busy mast feel worse.

Roaming will not work abroad

Turn data roaming on in your phone settings and set network selection to automatic. Raise a zero spend cap in My3, since it blocks the daily roaming charge. Pick a different local network by hand if the first one refuses to connect.

The Three app will not log you in

Update the app, then test the same details on three.co.uk in a browser. Delete the app and install it fresh if login still loops. Sign back in, then turn on fingerprint or face login in settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Three app down or is it just my phone?

If three.co.uk also fails, the problem sits with the service, not your phone. Reports on this page show if other customers are hit too. When reports stay low, the fault is likely on your device.

Why does my signal keep dropping to no bars?

A busy or faulty mast near you is the usual cause. Thick walls and bad weather can also weaken the signal at home. The Network Status Checker shows faults and planned work for your postcode.

How do I check if Three has a fault in my area?

Open the Network Status Checker on the Three website and type in your postcode. It lists known faults and planned work near you. Reports here give a second view from other customers.

What does not registered on network mean?

It means your phone can see a network but cannot join it. Restart the phone first, then set network selection to automatic in settings. If the message stays, test your SIM in a second phone.

Does a spend cap stop roaming from working?

Yes, it can. A zero cap blocks the daily roaming charge, so allowances never open abroad. Raise the cap in My3 before you travel, or buy a Go Roam pass instead.

Can I use Wi-Fi calling on Three?

Yes, most Three plans support Wi-Fi calling on phones that offer it. Turn it on in your phone call settings. It helps in homes where mobile signal is weak but Wi-Fi is strong.
