Is Plusnet down right now?
Plusnet is working for most customers right now, with no sign of a wide outage.
The Plusnet status on this page is built from live reports by customers. When reports jump, broadband in one area or the Member Centre itself is often struggling. A calm line means things are running fine.
Is Plusnet down for me or everyone?
Reports from many towns at the same time point to a wider Plusnet outage. One town only points to a local fault or your own Hub. Check the light on the Hub first.
Hub lights and what they mean
The Hub light tells you the state of the line. A blue light means broadband is up. A solid orange light means the Hub is on but has no connection, and flashing orange means it is still trying.
If the light stays orange, the fault is the line or the Hub setup, not your WiFi. WiFi faults leave the light blue while one room or one device struggles.
Signing in to the Member Centre
The Member Centre is the account home on the Plusnet website. Some users meet slow pages, missing sections or full errors when they move between tabs. Forgotten passwords are the other big block, since one password guards webmail too.
Webmail sign-in problems
Webmail refuses some users even when their password feels right. A mailbox password can be changed for safety after odd activity, blocking sign-in at once. Reset the account password in the Member Centre, then use the new one in webmail.
Speed drops and a Hub that restarts itself
Speed that falls every evening is a common Plusnet report. A Hub restart often brings the speed back for a while. If the Hub restarts itself several times a day, note the times, since that pattern points to a line fault.
Common Plusnet Problems and Fixes
Most faults split into line, Hub or website, and these steps help you find which one.
Your Hub light is solid orange
Switch the Hub off, wait a few minutes, then switch it on again. Check the broadband cable clicks into the grey socket on the Hub and the master socket. If the light stays orange, the fault is on the line.
The Member Centre will not let you in
Use the forgotten password link and set a fresh password you have not used before. Wait a few minutes, then sign in once with the new one. Your router may need the new password too.
Webmail keeps rejecting your password
Reset the account password in the Member Centre, since webmail uses that same password. Then sign in to webmail once in a browser before you fix any mail app. Old saved passwords in mail apps cause most repeats.
Your speed has dropped hard
Restart the Hub once and test with a cable if you can. A wired test shows your true line speed, apart from WiFi. If wired speed is still poor at quiet hours, report a fault from the Member Centre.
Member Centre pages load slowly or fail
Reload the page and let it finish before you click again. Clear your browser cache for the Plusnet site, since stale files break its pages. A second browser is a fast check.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Plusnet down in my area?
Look at the reports on this page first, since a jump near you means a known fault. A single quiet street points back to your own line. The Hub light confirms it, blue for up, orange for down.
Why does my Hub keep restarting?
A Hub that restarts itself often reacts to a noisy or dropping line. Heat can do it too, so keep the vents clear. If it happens often, report it as a line fault.
How do I get into the Hub settings page?
Open the Hub Manager address in your browser while joined to your Hub. Sign in with the admin password printed on the card that came with it. There you can restart the Hub.
What does a solid orange Hub light mean?
The Hub has power but no broadband connection. Restart it once and check the cables at both ends. If orange stays, the line outside your home is the likely fault.
Does changing my password break my router?
It can. The router uses your account password to connect, and Plusnet Hubs update it on their own in most cases. If yours does not, type the new password into the Hub settings page.
Can I check my usage without the Member Centre?
The Member Centre is the main place for usage and bills. If the site is down, broadband keeps working, you just cannot view the numbers yet.
