Is FileLinked Down Right Now?
Yes. FileLinked is permanently down and will not come back. The service was seized and shut down by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, an anti-piracy coalition, and its domains were handed to the Motion Picture Association. Every FileLinked code now returns an error, and the app cannot reach any server. This is not a temporary FileLinked outage; the shutdown is final. This page tracks live FileLinked status around the clock.
If you are asking is FileLinked down, the answer is that it has been offline for good. The app was a bulk downloader for Fire TV and Android devices that let users install apps through numeric codes. After the takedown, no fix on your device will bring it back. Users looking for the same code-based sideloading have moved to alternatives like Unlinked, FileSynced, and AppLinked.
Is FileLinked Down for Me or Everyone?
Everyone. There is no FileLinked server left to connect to. If your app shows connection errors or codes fail, that is the expected behavior now, not a problem with your device or network.
Why Did FileLinked Shut Down?
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment confirmed it was behind the closure. FileLinked, formerly known as DroidAdmin, had become popular for sideloading unofficial apps onto Fire TV sticks, including unauthorized streaming apps. ACE issued a cease-and-desist, and the operators handed over the domains as part of the settlement.
The takedown followed a familiar pattern: a popular sideloading tool grows large, rights holders take notice, and legal pressure ends it. Similar services that rose afterward face the same risk, since the legal theory that shut FileLinked down applies to them too.
Why Do My FileLinked Codes Not Work?
All FileLinked codes are dead because the code database lived on FileLinked servers, which no longer exist. Entering any code returns a not-found error. There is no workaround, no mirror, and no unofficial server that restores the old codes. Anyone claiming to have working FileLinked codes is misleading you.
What Replaced FileLinked?
Unlinked, FileSynced, and AppLinked use the same code-based model and picked up many former FileLinked users. The Downloader app by AFTVnews also lets you install apps directly with numeric codes, skipping code stores entirely. Be aware that sideloading unofficial apps carries legal and security risks, and these replacements could face the same fate.
Common FileLinked Problems and Fixes
App Shows Connection Error
Fix: none. The servers are gone permanently. Uninstall the app and switch to an alternative.
Codes Return Not Found
Fix: the code database is offline for good. Old codes will never work again.
App Won’t Update
Fix: there are no updates. Development stopped at shutdown.
Account Login Fails
Fix: accounts no longer exist on any server. There is nothing to log into.
Is There a Working Mirror?
Fix: no legitimate mirror exists. Sites claiming otherwise are scams or malware risks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to install the FileLinked clone apps I see online?
No, FileLinked closed in 2021, so any app using its name now is an unofficial copy that can carry ads, trackers, or harmful software. It is safer to install apps only from the official store on your device.
Why did FileLinked shut down?
ACE issued a cease-and-desist over copyright concerns. The operators handed over the domains as part of the settlement.
Do FileLinked codes still work?
No. The code database was on FileLinked servers, which no longer exist.
What is the best FileLinked alternative?
Unlinked, FileSynced, and AppLinked use the same code model. Downloader codes work too.
Can I still download the FileLinked app?
The app is discontinued and unavailable. Old APKs cannot connect to anything.
Will FileLinked ever come back?
No. The shutdown was a legal settlement, not a technical outage.
