Is Phantom Down Right Now?
No, Phantom is not down for everyone right now. The Phantom status looks normal, and today’s reports are mostly about balances and failed transactions. Most of those trace back to the Solana network or a display issue, not a full Phantom outage.
Phantom is a window onto the blockchain, not the vault itself. Your coins live on the network, and the wallet shows them to you. When the network is congested or the app cannot fetch data, it can look like your money vanished, even though it never moved.
Is Phantom Down for Me or Everyone?
To check if Phantom is down for me or everyone, look up your address on a block explorer. If the explorer shows your correct balance, your funds are safe and the problem is the app display. If the explorer also fails and reports here spike, the network itself may be struggling. That test takes one minute and settles most Phantom scares.
‘Failed to Get Assets’ and Vanishing Balances
A common scare is the ‘Failed to get assets’ error, sometimes with an empty-looking wallet. Phantom’s own guidance says this error usually means the app could not connect to the internet to load your wallet data. Your assets are recorded on chain, not inside the app.
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, restart the app or browser, and make sure Phantom is updated. In most cases the balance returns once the connection behaves. If it does not, check your address on an explorer to confirm the funds are still there.
Why Transactions Fail on a Busy Network
Transactions fail more often when Solana is congested, such as during big NFT drops or token launches. Valid transactions get dropped before they confirm. A second classic cause is too little SOL left to pay the network fee.
Keep a small SOL buffer, around 0.01 SOL or more, so fees never block you. During congestion, wait a few minutes and retry rather than resending in a panic. Sending the same transfer twice in a hurry is how people double-pay.
Tokens That Do Not Show Up
A token can be in your wallet but hidden from view. Phantom filters some tokens as spam, and others land on the hidden list. Transfers sent on the wrong network also never appear, because the wallet cannot read them.
Check the hidden list in your settings first. Then confirm on an explorer that the transfer completed to your exact address. If the sender used the wrong network, recovery is up to the sending platform, which is why the network choice matters before every send.
Common Phantom Problems and Fixes
Balance Shows Zero or Missing
Do not panic. Check your address on a block explorer to see the true balance. Then switch networks, restart the app, and update Phantom.
Transaction Failed
Keep at least 0.01 SOL for fees, because an empty fee balance fails every send. If the network is congested, wait and retry once. Check the attempt in your activity tab before resending, so you do not send twice.
Transaction Stuck on Pending
Open the transaction in an explorer. If it confirmed there but shows pending in the app, back up your recovery phrase, then reset and re-import the wallet. If it is pending in both places, wait for the network to clear before trying again.
Tokens or NFTs Not Showing
Look in your hidden list and unhide anything filtered by mistake. Confirm the transfer completed on an explorer to your exact address. Tokens sent over the wrong network will not appear, and only the sender’s platform can help recover those.
Swap Keeps Failing
Swaps fail when prices move fast or liquidity is thin. Try a smaller amount or a slightly higher slippage setting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Phantom say ‘Failed to get assets’?
This error means the app could not connect to load your wallet data, per Phantom’s own help guidance. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, restart the app or browser, and update Phantom.
Why is my Phantom balance not showing?
It is usually a display or connection issue. Check your address on a block explorer to see the real balance. If the explorer is correct, refresh or restart Phantom.
Why did my Phantom transaction fail?
The top causes are too little SOL for the network fee and network congestion. Keep a small SOL buffer for fees. During busy periods, wait a few minutes and retry.
Why is my Phantom transaction stuck on pending?
Congestion can leave a transaction unconfirmed for a while. Check it on a block explorer. If it confirmed there but not in the app, back up your recovery phrase and reset the app.
Why aren’t my tokens showing in Phantom?
The token may be hidden or filtered as spam, so check your hidden list. Confirm on an explorer that the transfer finished and went to your exact address.
Why can I only have one Bitcoin transfer pending in Phantom?
Phantom allows one pending Bitcoin transaction at a time by design. If one is already pending, new sends are blocked until it confirms. Wait for the first transfer to confirm on the network, then send the next one.
