Is Lovable down? User reports show problems with Lovable
Lovable turns plain prompts into working web apps, with hosting, a database link, and GitHub sync built in. When Lovable down searches jump, this page follows Lovable status, editor faults, and publish errors.

Is Lovable down right now?
Checks right now come back green. This page keeps watch on Lovable status through the day and collects Lovable down reports from builders.
The editor, the preview, and published sites run as separate pieces. One piece can fail while the other two stay healthy. Match your symptom to the right piece before you retry a build.
Is Lovable down for me or everyone?
Reload your published site in a private browser window. If visitors see the site fine, the fault sits inside your project or the editor. If the live site fails for everyone, hosting or the platform is down. A burst of similar reports on this page confirms a Lovable outage.
How does Lovable build an app from a prompt?
You describe the app in everyday words. Lovable writes the code, wires a database through its backend link, and renders a live preview beside the chat. Each prompt creates a new version you can roll back.
Plan mode lets you agree the steps before code changes. Agent mode works through the steps on its own. Clear, small prompts land closer to the app you pictured.
What is the difference between preview and published?
The preview is your private working copy. The published site is a snapshot from the last publish click, and edits never leak into it early. Sign-in and data rules also behave stricter on the live site. Test the live address, not only the preview, before you share a link.
Why do credits vanish during a build loop?
Conflicting prompts send the builder around in circles. Each fix attempt spends credits, even when the change breaks something else. A stuck loop drains a balance faster than any single big build. Stop the loop, name one fault, and ask for one change.
Can I take my Lovable code to GitHub?
Yes. Two-way GitHub sync sits inside project settings. Pushes from GitHub flow back into the editor, and editor work lands as commits. A sync clash pauses the link until you pick the winning version.
Common Lovable Problems and Fixes
Editor, preview, and publish faults each carry their own cure. Pick the fix under your exact symptom and test the preview after every step.
Publish shows Try to fix instead
A build error blocks the snapshot. Open the error, read the first red line, and point the builder at that line only. Free fixes cover a small pool each day, then fixes draw credits like normal builds.
Live site still shows the old version
Edits wait for a fresh publish click. Check the dot on the Publish button, which flags unpublished work. Publish again, then hard-refresh the live address to skip your browser cache.
Preview loads blank or spins forever
A broken component often blanks the whole canvas. Roll back one version to test whether the last prompt caused it. Name the page and the element in your next prompt instead of asking for a full redesign.
Sign-in works in preview, fails live
Redirect addresses point at the wrong home. In the backend auth settings, set the site address to your live domain. Add every domain you use to the allowed redirect list, then test with a fresh account.
Credits drain with no progress
Halt the run before the next retry. Restate the task as one small change with a clear end point. Remove prompts that fight each other, such as two layouts for the same page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do published Lovable sites stay up when credits run out?
Yes. A live site costs nothing to keep serving. Building pauses until credits return, so visitors keep using the current version. Only new edits and publishes wait.
How do I roll back a Lovable project to an older version?
Open the version history beside the chat. Every prompt saved a restore point. Pick the last good version and restore it. The broken version stays in history if you need it later.
Why does my Lovable app show data in preview but not live?
Data rules run stricter on the live site. Row rules in the database block reads that the preview lets through. Loosen the exact rule for signed-in users, then publish again and retest.
Can I use my own domain with a Lovable app?
Yes. Project settings hold the domain link. Add the DNS records it shows, then wait for the certificate to turn green. A stuck domain panel usually means a record still points at an old host.
What does the dot on the Publish button mean?
It flags edits that visitors cannot see yet. Your preview moved ahead of the live snapshot. Click Publish to push the waiting changes out. Publishing itself spends no credits.
How many credits does one Lovable prompt use?
Cost scales with the size of the change. A text tweak costs little, while a new feature with database work costs far more. The balance panel shows the spend per message after each run.
