Why Is the LiveChat Widget Not Loading?
It is almost never a livechat down event. Nine times out of ten the install code is missing, pasted wrong, or blocked. Open your site in a private window first. If the widget appears there, your normal browser is blocking it.
Ad blockers and privacy tools often hide chat widgets. Ask a friend to open your site with no extensions. If they see it, tell your visitors to allow the widget. Only on rare days does a real platform outage cause a blank widget.

It can be. Short spells of slow loading have hit the agent app before. Chats may take a few seconds to open. New messages can arrive late.

Chat widget missing from my website
Reinstall the tracking code on every page where it should show. Place it before the closing body tag. Turn off your ad blocker and look again. Ask someone else to check the page too.
Agents cannot log in
Reset the password first. Clear the browser cache and try a private window. Make sure your seat is still active in settings. If logins fail for the whole team, a platform incident is likely.
Messages are not sending or arrive late
Reload the agent app. Check your internet speed. Late messages often trace back to a shaky connection. If chats delay across devices, report it here and watch the status page.
Workflows and automation rules misfiring
Open the Workflows page and confirm each rule is on. Test one rule by hand. A past October 2026 incident broke triggers for a while. If rules fail again for many users, it is likely a fresh outage.
Chat history or tickets are missing
Use the search box in the archives with wider dates. Log out and back in to force a fresh sync. Missing chats right after an incident usually return once the system catches up.

Agents miss chats when their status is set to away or when browser notifications are blocked. LiveChat only routes new chats to agents marked as accepting chats. Set statuses correctly and allow notifications for the LiveChat app in the browser settings.
