Is DGI down right now?
This page follows the DGI status through DGI down reports from accountants and business owners filing online. Calm bars mean SIMPL and Daribati are answering normally. A fast climb means the portals are buckling, which usually happens near a filing deadline.
Deadline pressure is the pattern to remember with tax systems. If your filing fails while the graph stays flat, the account or the file itself is the likely cause.
Is DGI down for me or everyone?
Try the Daribati app while the portal fails, since the two run on linked but separate systems. If the app answers, your data is reachable and the portal route is the broken one. When both fail and reports pour in, the tax platform is down for everyone.
Joining SIMPL and activating the account
Membership starts on the adhesion portal with the tax identifier and the ICE number of the business. The administration then sends an activation code that opens the account. Each SIMPL service, from VAT to company tax, opens under the same login afterwards.
Keep the login details inside the business, since the account holder answers for every filing made with them. Lost access goes through the tax office or the support line, not a simple email reset. Set up user accounts for staff instead of sharing the main login.
Filing VAT, company tax and income tax
Each tax has its own SIMPL space with web forms or file upload for bulk filers. Drafts save as you work, so a long form does not need one sitting. The deduction tables sit inside the VAT flow and must balance before the filing sends.
Paying through the portal and Daribati
Payment runs by bank debit order, by card, or in cash through partner networks. Daribati shows your declarations, payments, refunds and the amount still due on one dashboard. In the thick of a DGI outage, payments can confirm at the bank while the portal still shows them open. Keep every receipt until the account settles.
Certificates, vignette and stamps
The attestation service issues tax clearance certificates from the same account. The vehicle vignette pays through its own portal and shows in Daribati as a certificate. Fiscal stamps are also sold online for the procedures that still need them.
Common DGI Problems and Fixes
Filing faults cluster around the account access, the draft save and the payment order. The checks below follow that same order.
Filing will not leave draft state
Open the draft and run the form checks, since one unbalanced table holds the whole filing. The deduction list and the totals must agree before the filing sends. Save, close and reopen the draft if the send button stays grey after fixes.
Uploaded EDI file rejected
Read the rejection line, since it names the field or the period that failed. Files from accounting software must match the current layout for that tax. Fix the export settings in the software rather than editing the file by hand.
Activation code never arrived
Check the email and phone given at adhesion, including the spam folder. Codes expire, so request a fresh one instead of retrying an old code. If the contact details are wrong, the tax office corrects them in person.
Payment shows open after the bank took it
Keep the bank receipt and wait for the account to settle before paying again. The fiscal account updates after the payment file returns from the bank. Daribati reflects the same state once the portal settles.
Daribati login fails with the right details
Daribati uses the adhesion from the tax services, so a fresh SIMPL member signs in after activation completes. Update the app, since old builds reject current accounts. A locked account is freed through the support centre, not by reinstalling.

The portal checks the file layout and the period totals on upload. The error line names the failing part. Correct the export in your accounting software and upload the new file.
Does the portal issue tax certificates?
Yes, the attestation service inside SIMPL issues clearance certificates. They download from the account once generated. Some procedures still ask for the paper copy from the tax office.
