Try Quick Pay on the website while the app shows an error. A paid bill there clears the platform and blames the handset. If Quick Pay fails too, the fault is wider. One test on mobile data rules out your home router.
Can you pay a bill without signing in?
Quick Pay settles a bill with the account number or premise number alone. You type the number, read the amount due and pay by card. It suits tenants who pay a landlord account or help family with a bill.
EasyPay covers more ground, from final bills and deposits to Green Charger bills. Signed-in users get the full history view on top. Guest payment shows the current amount due only.
What do the consumption graphs show each cycle?
The graphs split electricity and water use by cycle and compare it with past cycles. A sudden jump often means a leak, a faulty AC unit or guests in the home. The app flags high use with an alert too.
Where does the Green Charger map fit in the app?
The map lists Green Charger points across Dubai with live free or busy states. Scan the QR code on a charger to start a session if your card is lost. A single dark charger is a site fault, while a DEWA outage can knock a whole row of chargers offline at once.
How does Away Mode guard an empty home?
Away Mode watches your use while you travel and alerts you to odd spikes. A flat line is normal for an empty flat. A rising line can point to a water leak or a unit left running. Switch it on before you leave.
Common DEWA Problems and Fixes
DEWA faults often sit with a stale bill screen, a wrong premise number or a charger scan. Work through the entries below before you pay or apply twice.
Bill paid but the balance still shows due
Give the payment a short while to post, then pull the bill screen down to refresh it. Check the payment history tab for the receipt line. If the due amount stays, pay nothing twice.
Green Charger QR scan will not start a session
Wipe the camera lens and hold the phone steady in good light. Check that you scan the code on the charger post, not the poster beside it. A signed-out app also blocks the scan, so sign in first.
Move-in request sits at pending for hours
Move-in starts once the Ejari record reaches DEWA. Check that the Ejari number on the request matches the contract. A wrong premise number stalls the request, so compare it with the old bill.
Consumption graph shows a blank panel
Close the graph and reopen it from the account home screen. The panel loads cycle data in parts, and a weak signal stops it midway. The website bill page shows the same graph as a backup.
Login code arrives too late to use
Codes expire fast, so request a fresh one and enter it at once. Check the mobile number saved on the account, since codes go to that number only. Weak signal delays texts more than the app does.

Can you pay a bill for a family member?
Yes, Quick Pay and EasyPay accept any valid account number. Enter the number, check the name line and amount, then pay by card. The balance updates after the payment posts.
What does the Green Bill email carry?
It carries the full monthly statement as a file you can save. It replaces the paper bill for accounts that opt in. The app bill screen shows the same totals in short form.
Does the app show past bills as well?
Yes, the history view lists past cycles with amounts and payment states. Tap a cycle to open its full bill. Older cycles sit under the history tab on the account screen.
Where do EV charging costs appear?
Green Charger use bills on its own account, apart from the home bill. The EV dashboard lists each session and its cost.
How do you close an account when you move out?
Start a Move-out request and pick the date you leave. A final reading sets the last bill. The deposit settles against that bill, and the rest returns to your bank.
