Is CBR down right now?
Candidates check the CBR status when Mijn CBR will not open on exam morning or a booking page spins without end. CBR down reports spike at the start of school holidays, when thousands of learners grab fresh theory dates at once.
A busy queue screen is not the same as a full outage. The portal often slows at peak booking hours and then clears on its own.
Is CBR down for me or everyone?
Reload mijn.cbr.nl on your phone with Wi-Fi off. If the portal opens there, your home network or browser is the block. If the phone also stalls at login, the wider CBR outage is real and your slot hunt has to wait.
Why does the booking page show no free places?
The calendar only shows dates the exam centres release, and popular cities fill weeks ahead. Empty weeks mean the centre released nothing yet, not that your account broke.
Widen the search to nearby centres and early morning slots. New dates land in small batches, so a page that looks empty at night can hold places the next morning.
How do I file the health declaration online?
The health declaration sits in Mijn CBR behind your DigiD login. You answer the health questions, pay with iDEAL and send the form in one flow. A paper copy from the town hall works too, but the post route takes longer.
Can my driving school book the exam for me?
Yes, after you authorise the school inside Mijn CBR. The authorisation step links your account to the school so staff can book and move exams. Without that link the school sees nothing and cannot book in your name.
Where do I see my theory result after the exam?
Your result lands in Mijn CBR under your exams once the centre uploads it. The same page holds the pass proof you need before the practical test. A missing result after a full day points at a sync fault, not a fail.
Common CBR Problems and Fixes
Work through these portal checks before you ring the CBR customer line.
Use the DigiD app, not SMS
The DigiD app login skips the text code step that often stalls on weak signal. Open the app first, then start the Mijn CBR login from your browser.
Clear old cbr.nl cookies
Stale cookies send the portal into a login loop that looks like a password fault. Delete the cbr.nl cookies, close the tab and log in fresh.
Finish iDEAL payment in one go
A closed bank app tab breaks the payment return and the booking drops. Keep both tabs open until Mijn CBR shows the paid confirmation screen.
Try a smaller exam centre
Big city calendars jam first on release days. A smaller centre nearby often has free theory slots on the same dates.
Screenshot your booking proof
The confirmation mail can land late or in spam. A screenshot of the booked date, time and centre covers you if the mail never shows.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I move my exam to another date?
Open the exam in Mijn CBR and pick the reschedule option. You can shift to any free slot at the same centre type.
Why is my health declaration still pending?
A declaration with a yes answer needs a doctor review, and that review takes longer than a clean form. The status page in Mijn CBR shows which step it sits in.
Can I cancel a booked theory exam?
Online cancellation is closed for most exams. Illness or a death in the family counts as a valid reason with proof. Send the proof through Mijn CBR and wait for the written answer.
What does the machtigen step do in Mijn CBR?
It gives your driving school permission to book and manage exams for you. You pick the school from a list and confirm with DigiD.
Is CBR down for me when the calendar shows nothing?
An empty calendar alone does not prove a fault. Centres release dates in batches, and sold-out weeks look the same as a broken page. Check a second centre before you blame the site.
When do new theory dates appear online?
Centres add dates in small rounds, often early in the morning. There is no fixed release clock for the new batches.
